CAPITAL AREA BAPTIST ASSOCIATION FATHER’S DAY GIFTS TO MIGRANT FARMERS

feliz dia del padre

The Capital Area Baptist Association (CABA) is extending its longstanding ministry to migrant workers to include workers at local dairy farms.

We will be reaching out to four dairy farms in Saratoga County. The migrant workers at these farms are married men from Central American countries. The men live and work in the United States to support their families back home. We would like to provide a gift to these men to honor them on Father’s Day; an occasion celebrated in the United States and their home countries.

CABA is asking for completed gift packages or items for gift packages to be available for pick up by May 20.

Each gift package will include personal care items:

Soap and shampoo, Toothbrush and toothpaste, Shaving cream and razors,

Snack Items such as:

FBC Christmas Celebration Dec. 1, 7:30 p.m.

Christmas

The First Baptist Church of Ballston Spa will present their annual program of Christmas music as part of the First Friday Events in the Town of Ballston Spa. Immediately following the Christmas Parade on December 1, around 7:30 PM, the choir, under the direction of Mrs. Darryl Drew, will present the Christmas production of “CHRISTMAS! We Remember, Rejoice, Worship,” created and arranged by Mike Speck and Tim Parton.

In the words of Mr. Speck, “We must pause and remember and tell the biblical account of the birth of Christ, experience the festive spirit of rejoicing expressed though joyous singing, and participate in true worship – a time of heartfelt praise and adoration in exuberant exaltation of the newborn Messiah.”

The program will consist of several choral selections, accompanied by a dramatic screen presentation. The soloists will be: Colleen Pierre with a Children’s Choir, Kim Sprenger, Thomas Hemens, and guest soloist, Jada Chance, fresh from a tour to South Korean with world famous Hezekiah Walker, Grammy Award winning gospel artist and preacher.

There is no greater time of the year to express to our Savior our gratitude for what He has done for us. You are encouraged to bring your Christmas offerings of praise to Him on this very special event in the community of Ballston Spa and First Baptist Church on December 1 at 7:30 PM.

Following the presentation, a delicious dessert buffet will be served. Come celebrate the true meaning of Christmas! Use the fliers available at both sanctuary entrances to invite everyone you know!
