Summer Mission Opportunity: Aug. 9 Summer Camp

Backstretch Kids Summer Camp, August 9th
We will need a group of 20+ church members to facilitate a summer camp program for children of the Saratoga Race Course backstretch workers on Saturday, August 9th. The Ballston Spa Presbyterian Church is the coordinator of this unique summer camp program that provides a safe haven and educational opportunities for these children during the summer. The team from FBC will provide snacks, lunch, and a full roster of activities to minister to and fellowship the 20 or so children.

James: Faith & Action, New Sunday Morning Study led by Pastor Rudnick

james-faith-actionPastor Alan is leading a new study on the book of James.

James: Faith & Action (Bible study)
Sundays, 9am -10am – Upper Room FBC
Led by Rev. Alan Rudnick

Have you ever added one tablespoon of salt to a recipe when it should have been one teaspoon? It’s such a small error, but the entire recipe will be ruined. Think of other small things which can have big consequences. For James, it was the little things that mattered. In this study we will dive into the “little things” of our faith and how those “little things” impact our faith in big ways. By mastering the little things of our faith we can have a more abundant life.

May 11 – Introduction to James: Setting and place

May 18 – Chapter 1: The Challenge of Faith

May 25 – Chapter 2: Little Works

June 1 – Chapter 3: The Tongue

June 8 –  Chapter 4: Small Humility?

June 15 – Chapter 5: Silent Suffering

June 22 – Catch-up week/Conclusion

There is no book needed for this study, just bring a Bible.
