Christ's Cupboard

Christ's Cupboard exists to assist anyone who is in need of some help providing food for themselves or their family.  You are free to visit us and do not need any documentation to prove you are in need.  We are accessed by the rear entrance to the First Baptist Church, from the parking lot.  When you approach the counter you will be asked for ID and for basic information, including name, address, phone number and your household size.  We strive to provide enough food for three days need for your household size.  You will be asked to choose protein items, both canned and frozen, cereal, grains and starches, vegetables, and fruit.  When you come to us for assistance, we allow you to select the items you would like.  It takes a little longer than just being handed prepackaged  bags, but you only get what you can use.  We do have some bags available for your selections, but if you have reusable bags you can bring, they will be sturdier than what we have to offer.

Additional Items Available

When you visit Christ's Cupboard, you don't only get food for about three days need, we have some extra items for you as well.  When you check in, you can select some snack items, some condiments, and some personal hygiene items, cleaning products, and paper products.  We recognize that if you are finding it hard to obtain food, you may be struggling to get these items as well and if you are receiving assistance from the government, you cannot use those funds for some of these items.  We also try to keep on hand some baby diapers and wipes, feminine hygiene products and incontinence products.  If you need any of these items, please ask the volunteer working at the counter.  We will gladly try and get what you need in these areas.  We also have tables of bonus items available.  These items are not counted toward your allotment.  The items on the bonus tables might be food, clothing, toys, household goods, shoes, or anything else that has been donated to us.
